Medals and plaques provided by LAAS MARBLE for all winners

Medals and marble plaques provided by Laas marble will be awarded this year to the overall winners and the winners of the Team Corporate classification. Since the Giro delle Dolomiti stops in Lasa (Vinschgau/Venosta) this year on the occasion of its 2nd stage, they thought it more than appropriate at Lasa Marble to present a very special prize to the best cyclists of the Giro delle Dolomiti. Whoever wins in Laas does not win a precious metal, but the most precious marble in the world, our internationally renowned Laas marble. For the trophies, we deliberately chose not to use pure white marble, because the laser engraving of the graphics by Luca Gransinigh is much more effective on our slightly grey clouded marble. Since sustainability is also held high at the Giro, the medals were cut from the drill cores for the test drilling in the quarry, i.e. from a material that is otherwise not recycled and which in this way finds a nice, sustainable use. Thanks a lot!

SOUTH TYROL is featuring the unique beauty of the Dolomites

The Dolomites are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is an eye-catching landscape steeped in legend and shaped by the contrast between Alpine-peak formations and Mediterranean wine country. South Tyrolean specialities like apples, wine and smoked ham are produced here. These especially high-quality products result from the mild climate, with over 300 days of sunshine per year, and from the farmers, with years of experience at their disposal. This is the most coveted place to live in all of Europe where, in addition to traditional ties, a sense of innovation and design is palpable. After all, the people of South Tyrol and their culture make the difference. It is the meeting place of the Italian, German and Ladin languages. It is a mixture of southern ease and rural sense of tradition. The influences of true South Tyrolean personalities and luminaries have combined to mould this province. Bolzano is the main town and starting point of the Giro delle Dolomiti.
