Registrations for the Giro delle Dolomiti 2025 are already open !
Bolzano, November 2024 – The organisers around the dedicated president Bettina Ravanelli continue to rely on the recognised and unique format of the Giro delle Dolomiti (from 21 to 25 July 2025 ). The majority of each stage is covered at a reduced pace in a group. This gives participants the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people and make friends along the way. However, there is also a mountain time trial on each section where cyclists can push themselves to their heart’s content and the time recorded is also used for the overall ranking.
For 5 days at the end of July 2025, cyclists ‘may’ explore the Dolomites and some of the most beautiful Alpine passes in the saddle of their racing bikes. The first stage (75km/1529m) will take them on Monday, 21 July from the Fiera Bolzano, which will remain the logistical centre, via Ora and Aldino to the pilgrimage site of Maria Weißenstein and from there back via Nova Ponente and the Val d’Ega. Just one day later, the notorious Sellaronda will be tackled from Ponte Gardena, which with a length of 107 km and 3100 metres without doubt the queen’s stage. 2 pass crossings that are very well-known among cyclists will also be faced on the 92km long section with 1691 m of climbing on Wednesday, 23 July. These are the Passo della Mendola and the Passo della Palade, which will be explored from Bolzano again this time. On Thursday, the cyclists will head to the Vinschgau Valley. Starting in Prato, they will tackle the Stelvio Pass, one of the queens of the Alps, and not just because of the 48 hairpin bends on the South Tyrolean side. The Giro delle Dolomiti 2025 will conclude on Friday, 25 July on the takes us to the Alpe di Siusi, the largest plateau in Europe. In the afternoon, the traditional award ceremony will take place at the FieraBolzano, where the participants will hopefully look back on many unforgettable moments on the 411 km with 9577 mt. of climbing.
Jedelhauser and Cuartas ride a perfect Giro delle Dolomiti 2024
The 47th Giro delle Dolomiti was dominated by two persons. In the women’s field, Germany’s Julia Jedelhauser excelled, who was also uncatchable in the mountain time trial on the last stage. Colombian Mauricio Cuartas did likewise in the men’s field. Thanks to stage wins in all four time fractions of the Giro delle Dolomiti, ali two were proclaimed winners of the edition on Friday at the closing celebration.
For Julia Jedelhauser, it was the third edition she won, following those of 2021 and 2023. With Friday’s victory, the German cyclist from Marktobersdorf, Bavaria, is undefeated for nine stages, considering previous editions of the event. Then again, the Giro delle Dolomiti suits and pleases her: “The formula of the Giro delle Dolomiti makes it unique. There is something for everyone. For me, things go so well because the timed fractions are only uphill, which is where I go hard.” Just as Jedelhauser dominated the women’s race of the 47th Giro delle Dolomiti, Mauricio Cuartas dominated the men’s: the Colombian also won all the mountain time trials. Unlike the German winner, this was Cuartas’ first experience at the cycling tour in the Italian Alps. “I really enjoyed the Giro delle Dolomiti, especially because I was able to ride together with my father and sister. In the time fractions, then, I gave everything. I am very happy that my Giro went so well. It is a fantastic conclusion to a successful week.”
Everybody is a winner !
The final party of the 47th edition was held on Friday at the logistics center of the Giro delle Dolomiti. After the lunch and the awards ceremony, the more than 350 participants stayed together for hours talking about the 5 days they spent on their bikes. Not only on the faces of the cyclists but also on those of the organizers of the ASD Giro delle Dolomiti satisfaction was seen. “We are all very happy. All stages went off without an accident, no one was hurt. The timed section cancelled on stage 3 was a bit of a thorn in our side. Overall, however, we only got positive reactions from the participants,” said President Bettina Ravanelli after the last stage. “The 47th Giro delle Dolomiti will remain in the memory of this historic cycling tour. For this I want to thank all the sponsors, volunteers and all the people involved, without whom all this would not have been possible. Our special thanks also go to the public authorities, police and first aid forces.” > Results 2024 > HERE

Unlike other cycling events, it stands for a mix of entertainment and competition,” emphasized Ravanelli at the start of the media event. “The majority of the individual tours are completed in a group at a controlled pace, soaking up the unique landscape. Only on the timed sections will the riders pedal at full throttle, and it is on these sections that the overall winners will ultimately be determined.”

Medals and plaques provided by LAAS MARBLE for all winners
Medals and marble plaques provided by Laas marble will be awarded this year to the overall winners and the winners of the Team Corporate classification. Since the Giro delle Dolomiti stops in Lasa (Vinschgau/Venosta) this year on the occasion of its 2nd stage, they thought it more than appropriate at Lasa Marble to present a very special prize to the best cyclists of the Giro delle Dolomiti. Whoever wins in Laas does not win a precious metal, but the most precious marble in the world, our internationally renowned Laas marble. For the trophies, we deliberately chose not to use pure white marble, because the laser engraving of the graphics by Luca Gransinigh is much more effective on our slightly grey clouded marble. Since sustainability is also held high at the Giro, the medals were cut from the drill cores for the test drilling in the quarry, i.e. from a material that is otherwise not recycled and which in this way finds a nice, sustainable use. Thanks a lot!
