SHORT STAGE DESCRIPTION

The last stage takes us to the Alpe di Siusi, the largest plateau in Europe. In Prato Isarco we take the road to the small location of Fié / Völs, where the stage follows the main road to Siusi/Seis. Along the route the onion tower of S. Costantino greets us and we glimpse the cable car to the Alpe di Siusi, where the first refreshment awaits us at the valley station. In Siusi we take Via Trotz which, passing in front of Henrik Ibesen’s villa, takes us to the Alpe di Siusi road, where after the S. Valentino infopoint there is the departure of the timed section for Bellavista. Now the time has come to accelerate to quickly cover the 6.5 km to Compatsch: here we stop at the 2nd refreshment point. In front of us lies a wonderful mountain pasture whose extent one can only imagine. With many impressions of the Alpe di Siusi, we cycle along the main road SP24, mostly downhill, passing through Siusi and Fiè up to Prato Isarco to finish the stage in Bolzano, where lunch and the awards ceremony await us.
